Sylvain Pataille is a rockstar winemaker located in Marsannay, Burgundy. Not the sexiest of appellations, but that was until Pataille started there in 1999 and has been making waves ever since. A superb taster himself and renowned wine making consultant in the area, he has been making (biodynamic) Pinot Noirs, Aligotés and Chardonnays that are always precise, classy, pure and delicious. This Pinot Noir from Marsannay comes from the beautiful 2015 vintage, giving it a powerful yet elegant character, approaching the drinking window age-wise and a guaranteed success at the dinner table.
