Now, this is something you don't see every day. Matassa isn't widely available and everything that hits the market gets snatched up straight away. That a shame, because Matassa's Tom Lubbe creates wines that can age. And maybe even have to age to reach their full potential.
While we already offered a few aged bottles of the older Cuvée Rouges, this is another and even rarer cuvée named El Sarrat, made from 100% Mourvèdre. Matassa gave this a drinking window from 2016-2030+, even though this wine has already been aged for almost a decade, it has plenty of years ago. Is this rare? Well, we now offer the last 2 bottles in the Netherlands.
