The very best of Jean Foillard, or so he thought tasting this barrel. We love Foillard's Morgon Classique with grapes from the whole village of Morgon. Of his best vineyard he makes "Cote de Py", of the best parcels and the best barrels he then makes an even more limited cuvee called Pi (3,14). In 2015 one barrel of the Pi was so much better than the rest that he decided to label it separately: Athanor. Extremely limited and has not been made since.

A big wine, one that can age for years and shows the full potential of Gamay. At 16% abv this is not a small wine, but one to savour and enjoy.
