This is a great cider by the only natural winemaker in the Netherlands: Dassemus in Chaam, Brabant. This cider has been made from mostly (all Dutch) Goudreinette apples with some time on the skins, but what follows after is special and typical for this cider: a year of aging in used Port barrels. Hence the red color, red fruit notes on the palate and the tiny tinge of tannins.

This is fun, refreshing, surprisingly deep in flavor and a cider for all occassions.
